Welcome to 2021.
Let’s hope we can get the world back on track this year. Not that I have a lot of hope for that, given how we don’t seem to be able to control our politicians and their inability to listen to the science that actually matters as they demonstrably only able to listen to the science that terrifies the living hell out of one and all. But that shouldn’t stop us trying, even though it might feel like we are beating our heads against an unfeeling brick wall.
We can focus on what we can control though. It should be common knowledge or common sense that one of the best ways to move towards our goals is to focus on things we can control. As most of us have an intimate interest in our own personal health and well-being, I thought I’d focus my first post of the year on that. Because one thing we can at least attempt control over is whatever we put in our mouths.
The main hormone we want to control in terms of universally improving our basic health is insulin. Many people still don’t understand what high insulin levels lead to. This is a great talk to help you get some appreciation for that and why, no matter what your health goals are for 2021, they are likely to revolve around you being willing and able to keep your insulin levels low.
