From my experience the spirit-mind-body connection works both ways.

Connecting with who you are and using your mind to support who you are can have a wonderful impact on your body.  Of course it works in reverse. Not connecting with who you are or using your mind against yourself can have disastrous results.  This is highlighted in quotes you may have heard  like “All disease begins in your mind”.

Going the other way if you look after your body better by feeding it,  exercising it and letting it rest then you will experience your state of mind and mind-spirit connection improve.

So feeding yourself right can be critical to your overall well-being.  This is emphasized in this quote from Linus Pauling:  “Every ailment, every sickness and every disease can be traced back to an organic mineral deficiency.”

So which is true?  “All disease begins in your mind” or “Every ailment, every sickness and every disease can be traced back to an organic mineral deficiency.”

My experience in my own mind-body and with other people that I know and have worked with, is that it’s NOT an either or situation.  In my reality BOTH are true and have an effect.

I have personally seen people heal cancer with their minds.  Plus I have experienced instantaneous healing in my own body just by changing my own mind simply by trying on another thought for size.

And on the other hand I have seen and felt the impact in my body & mind of feeding my body the right food and nutrients.  People can feel more uplifted and peaceful, breathing can come easier and body conditions can simply disappear as if they had never been there.

In terms of feeding ourselves it’s a matter of getting the two things right:

  1. The right ‘fuel mix’, by which I mean the right combinations of the macronutrients (proteins, fats & carbohydrates) for our specific body type.
  2. A broad spectrum of micronutrients (minerals & vitamins).  Minerals come first as a lot of vitamins won’t function optimally without the right minerals.  Plus there a lot more minerals and the body can’t manufacture them.  Plus, the big problem is that they are no longer in our food chain because our soils are depleted with modern farming practices.
