Probably the truest comment I’ve ever heard about immunization is the following story.

A father was asked why he made  his choice.  This was his response:

Well, if I chose not to immunize my child and something happened, it would be my fault, and I couldn’t live with that.

But if I chose to immunize because the doctor’s said I should and something happened, then it would be their fault, and that would be easier for me to live with.

Given that’s a pretty universal experience as a parent, it’s a brave parent who will choose not to immunize.

It is up to all of us to get as educated as we can so we can make the best choice we can imagine making.

One book I recommend is the late Dr Robert Mendelsohn’s – as a pediatrician he should know a thing or two

We chose to not immunise our two girls. They finally got a whole bunch done when they went on OE
